When you think of a Fall wedding you may think of burgundy and orange florals, pumpkins and pinecones, and a hot cocoa bar. But Fall in Southern California is not your average one. This was the perfect day to get married. The sun was shining and the temperature had a high of 76 degrees. The vibe was classic and romantic. String lights hung above the reception area, and a plethora of candles and monochromatic florals filled the U-shaped table.
Guests arrived at Pelican Hill and made their way to the infamous Rotunda for the ceremony. A stunning backdrop of the Pacific Ocean made the day even more enjoyable. You could even spot Catalina Island!
After the ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception were held on the Mar Vista Patio just steps away from the Rotunda. During the reception the bride and groom snuck away to have an intimate first dance under the Rotunda. The string lights and candles created a beautiful starry night look.
The bride gave 3 speeches, became a guest DJ, and danced the night away with her friends and family. The groom was more reserved and loved to let her be the center of attention. We loved how this couple balanced each other out. They had two cakes, both with meaningful backstories. As always, we loved working at Pelican Hill. This was a wedding we will truly never forget!
Until next time!
